The Knotty Truth is an opportunity to embrace the physical and mental journey of going natural. It's about so much more than hair: this book gives a voice to women with extremely coiled hair and the complexities of transitioning from relaxed to natural hair by explaining the foundation and economics behind natural hair in the beauty industry.

Mrs. George has worked professionally in the Biomedical Industry as a Pharmaceutical Trainer and Territory Manager, Molecular Biologist and presently as a Biomedical Research Coordinator. She holds advanced science degrees that have laid a solid scientific foundation that allows her to look at the science of hair from a unique physiological and developmental vantage point, placing her on a path to help other women with tightly coiled hair to 'Embrace their God-given birthright and heal not only physically but mentally.' She has taken this message to the Cosmetology Industry, working with organizations and boards to ensure that proper and fair interstate licensing and regulatory laws are congruent for natural hairstylists who wish to practice and operate a natural haircare business in the U.S.; and, as a Natural Hair Care Advocate in the State of Ohio, drafting a Senate bill to address the inequities in the beauty industry in the State of Ohio. Mrs. George continues to write in online blogs, and magazines while sharing her expertise on holistic hair care via multiple media outlets with a strong emphasis on education as the foundation.
