Inhaltsangabe

Carefully chosen, the letters span almost 22 years - from Mozart's first journey to Italy as a shy teenage to his final months in Vienna - and with the accompanying introductions, chronicle the intimate thoughts, day-to-day existence and artistic growth of one of the world's best-loved composers. These new translations capture faithfully the vibrant, earthy flavour of the writing, even retaining the misspellings and inaccuracies of the original German, and are rich in the details of the people, places and events of Mozart's life.
