TANYA REMER ALTMANN, MD, FAAP is a board-certified pediatrician in private practice, clinical instructor at UCLA, and a columnist for Los Angeles Family magazine. As an active Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), she is on the executive board of the section on media and co-chairperson of the media resource team. Dr. Altman has regularly appeared as a medical expert on numerous television programs including Santa Barbara's morning news and Lifetime's "What Should You Do?" She is currently a regular guest on the PBS parenting show "A Place of Our Own" and on the Food Network program, "Take It Off!"
