KID STUFF: PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS TO - Softcover

Rezensionen

Grade 6-10-- Four sections comprise this book: `People to Know'' (from Michael Jackson, Nero, and L. A.'s Mayor Bradley to Peter Pan, Hitler, and Charles Manson); ``Places to Know'' (221B Baker Street, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue); ``Things to Know'' (from the Ice Age to the Jazz Age, and including Johnny Cash's black outfit); and ``Some Words and Numbers to Know'' (ASAP, Keep on truckin', Bon appetit , sweetbreads). This potpourri of information also covers abbreviations, mnemonics, catch phrases, and famous American routes. Fun, informative, and easy to read, the book has a non-threatening layout and the type of material that may entice reluctant readers. --Zenata W. Pierre, Portland Public Schools, OR
