Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Irish by birth, Vincent Arthur Smith was a scholar of Indic studies and an art historian. He worked in the Indian Civil Service before entering into an early retirement in order to focus on his writing. His most famous work, Oxford History of India, has become an essential reference on the subject.
