"I am currently using the Duiker/Spielvogel text (World History) and am very satisfied. I am also impressed with the brief version, which seems to incorporate the strengths of the larger text without sacrificing the essential material, or the illustrations. My colleagues are all using less expensive textbooks, and it would be a relief to provide students with a comparable choice. A brief version seems ideal for my purposes."
