Grade 2-4 Unlike Watts' earlier book on sharks (Sarah R. Riedman's Sharks 1977; o.p.), which contained photographs and covered related families, this edition uses color drawings and concentrates simply on different types of sharks and what makes them different from other fish. In a field that never ceases to fascinate some and seems to have more books than any other, Petty manages a fresh look by including little-known sharks such as the long-tailed Thresher shark, the Australian Wobbegong shark, as well as the more familiar but interesting Leopard, Tiger, Hammerhead, Blue and Great White sharks.
