Anish Kapoor - Softcover

Born in Bombay in 1954, Kapoor grew up in northern India, moving to London at the age of 18 where he has lived ever since. His artistic achievement has been considerable, he has won the Turner Prize, represented Britain at the Venice Biennale and has exhibited all over the world. Ranging from small-scale sculptures made from dried gourds to room-size installations, Kapoor's work has a strong sensory power. Often, the influence of Indian mythology is at the root of the work, which explores the opposition of good and evil, male and female, strength and weakness. The book has been published to coincide with exhibitions in Milan and London. Each work is displayed chronologically to cover a period from the early 1970s to the present.
