This system of living in private homes, however, has at least one disadvantage in that the student is rather separated from his fellows. Of course he meets his class-mates in the recitation room, but there are so many in one class that he cannot easily become acquainted with them in this manner. It is inevi table, then, under the circumstances, that acquaintance should be made slowly. It is through other student activities that one is brought into close association with his fellow students.
