Your Committee beg to report that they have continued the Inquiry made during the Session of 1907 into the working of the Immigration Depart ment, and have taken further evidence on the subject. Owing, however, to the probable termin ation of the Session in a few days they find that time will not permit of their completing their inquiries. They accordingly recommend that the Inquiry be held over until next Session of Parlia ment, and that the proceedings and evidence be not published until after a full investigation has been made.
