Every man has his proper gift of God; and with modes of thought very much his own, and connections and relations in life peculiar to himself, he may hope to reach some to whom no similar work has found access. Besides, it seems to the author that, though new principles and rules for the guidance of the young may not be required, yet much can be done to aid them in applying principles and rules already understood to the exigencies of actual life.
