Letters from North Carolina, received at Wash ington, state that the friends of Calhoun and Jackson have at length succeeded in the formation of an elee toral ticket for president and vice president, and that they have come to the determination to support the candidate who may be nominated by Pennsylvania at the convention on the fourth of March. Ltis under stood that one part of the candidates on the people's ticket in South Carolina are for Calhoun; the other party are in favor of Jackson.
