Supposn for example, that my son has never seen any green grapes 1 winter cherries, and that I have instructed him so clearly i what respects they differ, that he has a correct notion of ihe spl cies of plant to which they belong, I might then say, that he he a just conception of both but would this make him love ti one better than the other 7 No. But place some winter churi and green grapes before him, and he will be instantly attraar to the cherries by their inviting colour. After tasting ha] however, he will learn to distrust appearances, and prefer ti WP.
