Mark Cook read psychology at Oxford, and did his doctorate ther, with Michael Argyle. He has published 10 books on non-verbal behaviour, person perception, occupational psychology, and personality. He is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, with 20 years' experience in selection, appraisal, and related training. He was a founder director of the Centre for Occupational Research Ltd, and has been a director of Oxford Psychologists Press Ltd. he teaches individual and applied psychology at he Universities of Cardiff and Swansea. He leads the personnel Selection research group at Swansea, which has researched on selection and assessment within the health sector, and is presently researching selection practices and their effects in former Communist countries.
