The aim of this annual review is to provide an analysis of actual and proposed changes to rural planning legislation across the main sectors: agriculture, forestry, conservation, recreation, settlement planning, transport planning, and other issues such as mineral extraction and employment. It also provides long-term views of the impact of planning policies, the evolution of planning policies and the appraisal of planning techniques in any one, or a combination of, the sectors outlined above.
