Make the most of the accountant’s most powerful tool—FARS
FASB’s Financial Accounting Research System (FARS) is perhaps the single richest resource you can make use of as an accountant. But navigating its many pathways to original pronouncements, general and industry standards, current texts, EITF abstracts, databases, and codifications isn’t always easy for the student or professional.
Wanda A. Wallace’s Mastery of the Financial Accounting Research System (FARS) Through Cases, Second Edition shows you how to make the most effective use of FARS, so you can better understand generally accepted accounting principles, exercise judgment in your interpretation and application, and meet the challenges that will arise in your accounting career!
This casebook helps you sharpen your analytical abilities, design search phrases using Boolean logic, and cope with contradictions and ever changing guidance in regulation and business practices. In addition, an extended five–part case introduces you to a number of resources beyond FARS, such as Web sites, legal cases, and public filings.
