JOHANN G. STICHLMAIR, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. JAMES R. FAIR, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas and a member of the University's Separation Research Program.
