This text, a product of the NSF-funded Calculus Consortium based at Harvard University, was developed as part of the calculus reform movement for the third semester, multivariable calculus course. Functions are presented graphically, numerically, and algebraically to give students the benefit of different interpretations. The text is problem-driven and features exercises based on real-world applications. Technology is used as a tool with the aim of helping students to learn to think.
