The past decade has witnessed a well-documented surge in interest among clinical psychologists in mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches to behavior change. In this book, the leading figures in traditional cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) address questions, including: Do these approaches represent a paradigmatic shift in the field? Each chapter presents a state-of-the-art description of a specific model; a brief review of the data relevant to these assertions; and a summary of directions for future development and research. Clinicians will want to add this volume to their CBT libraries.
