Microelectronic devices are now mass-produced, can be found everywhere and are bringing about an unprecedented social change by providing the main stimulus to computer technology, robotics and information technology. Most of the relevant information is produced in English and there is thus need for a multi-lingual dictionary in this area. This five-language dictionary is intended to fill this gap by covering the technical terms considered most important, ranging from the theoretical principles underlying microelectronics to the state-of-the-art in device fabrication and application. The dictionary contains a basic table of 8,521 entries with synonyms and abbreviations, plus five indexes.
