Inhaltsangabe

Civil Structures and Infrastructure Systems: From Reliability to Resilience examines the reliability and resilience of individual structures, outlining their similarity/difference through a unified framework. Subsequently, the reliability and resilience of infrastructure systems consisting of interacting multiple components are considered, with an emphasis on the wide applicability of reliability and resilience theories in engineering practice.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Cao Wang is a Lecturer and ARC DECRA Fellow at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Technology Sydney, Australia. Dr. Wang obtained his PhD degree from The University of Sydney, Australia, in 2019. His research interests include the risk, reliability, and resilience of civil structures and infrastructure systems. Dr. Wang is an Associate Editor of three international journals, ASCE-ASME Journal of Risk and Uncertainty in Engineering Systems, Part A: Civil Engineering; Part B: Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering Reports, and an Editorial Board member of several other journals. Dr. Wang is the author of a Springer book titled Structural Reliability and Time-Dependent Reliability, which addresses the mathematical formulation of analytical tools for structural reliability assessment. He is a member of the Committee on Probability and Statistics in the Physical Sciences (C(PS)2), Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics and Probability (2021–2025).
