Botanical Microbiomes: Sustainable Practices in Agriculture and Ecosystem Management explores sustainable agricultural practices in response to environmental challenges, diving into the relationships between plants and their microbiomes, and how these interactions can impact crop sustainability and soil health management. By utilizing nature-derived resources, the book explores innovative solutions and next-generation agricultural challenges. Sections examine developments in plant microbiome research and its applications in addressing environmental and agricultural challenges, while also exploring how the phyto-microbiome, endo-microbiome, and rhizo-microbiome contribute to plant health by regulating phytohormones, metabolites, antioxidants, and osmoprotectants.
Finally, microbial metabolites and soil microbiome engineering for stress management in plants is explored. This book serves as an essential resource for upper-level undergraduate students, researchers, and professionals in advanced plant pathology, botany, environmental microbiology, and ecology. It also includes supplementary educational materials, such as PowerPoint slides, to enhance learning and practical application in agricultural practices.

Botanical Microbiomes explores sustainable agricultural practices in response to environmental challenges. This comprehensive book dives into the relationships between plants and their microbiomes, and how these interactions can impact crop sustainability and soil health management. By utilizing nature-derived resources, the book explores innovative solutions to next-generation agricultural challenges. It examines the latest developments in plant microbiome research and its applications in addressing environmental and agricultural challenges. The book is organized around contributions from leading experts in the field, covering a wide array of foundational topics. It explores how the phyto-microbiome, endo-microbiome, and rhizo-microbiome contribute to plant health by regulating phytohormones, metabolites, antioxidants, and osmoprotectants. The initial chapters cover microbial metabolites and soil microbiome engineering, setting the stage for understanding stress management in plants. Midway chapters look into the impact of microbial amendments and community dynamics on crop health and eco-restoration. The final chapters focus on advanced multiomics tools, biopesticides, and the resilience of microbiomes under climate change, culminating in practical applications for sustainable agriculture and soil ecosystem services. Botanical Microbiomes serves as an essential resource for upper-level undergraduate students, researchers, and professionals in advanced plant pathology, botany, environmental microbiology, and ecology. The book also includes supplementary educational materials, such as PowerPoint slides, to enhance learning and practical application in agricultural practices.
