The fifth edition of this highly successful, student-friendly text has been substantially re-writen to reflect the study of pathology in a modern setting. Recognising the adverse effects of information overload on medical students emphasis is placed on a separation of core and special study topicsand an increasing emphasis on the understanding of basic mechanisms. The books highly regarded general layout and style and the division into general and systemic chapters has ben retained. Accessible information is presented as a series of annotated diagrams with only essential text, enabling students to learn quickly and easily. The first seven chapters cover general pathology i.e. the basic principles whilst the remainder chapters consider the diseases of the various body systems.
