Photocopiable activities are included with each title. This particular title focuses on developing children's experience and understanding of comparing and measuring in a variety of situations. Individual and whole group practical skills are used to develop children's experiences of making visual and direct comparisons and to carry out simple measuring tasks using non-standard units of length, weight, capacity and time. The activities include comparing numbers of teddies, weighing potatoes, measuring strides and measuring ingredients to make simple peppermint creams.
