This student book is a resource developed for the IBT II scheme which was introduced in October 1995 by the RSA Examinations Board. For students who are familiar with the use of spreadsheets, databases, word processing and representing data graphically, this award offers them a development into file handling. This book contains units on each of the five elements in the scheme. Each unit contains exercises designed to allow students to practise the skills required to gain IBT II elements of certification, two assignments for each of the four IT applications, one complete integrated assignment which develops the use of spreadsheets, databases, word processing and graphics, and self-assessment checklists which cover all the IBT requirements and prepare students for assessment.
