Nature, function and value of the various manures, fertilizers and soil amendments, (3) an explanation of the formulae and factors involved in the valuation Of fertilizers and preparation of home-mixtures, and (4) suggestions for the fertilizer treatment of field crops, etc.

The arrangement and nature of the material are indicated with greater precision and detail in the Table of Contents, which should be consulted by the reader.
