Inhaltsangabe

The first in a new series, Routledge Approaches to Translation, these practical guides cover the key translation types and equip translators and students of translation with the skills needed to translate them. Most of the world's translators work on scientific and technical texts, and most translator-training programmes deliver some tuition in scientific and technical translation. This book will provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to analyse and translate scientific and technical texts. Offering a wide range of relevant tasks for essential practice, examples from the most commonly taught language pairs and a concluding chapter with guidance on professional development, this is the essential textbook for all courses on scientific and technical translation.
