Über den Autor:

Franz Pöchhacker is Associate Professor of Interpreting Studies in the Center for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna. His background is in conference interpreting, and he has been working freelance as a conference and media interpreter since the late 1980s.

He has lectured widely and published some 60 papers. Together with Klaus Kaindl he edits a book series in Translation Studies ("Translationswissenschaft") with Gunter Narr, Tübingen, and serves on the Advisory Board of the "Benjamins Translation Library" series. He is the editor, with Miriam Shlesinger, of The Interpreting Studies Reader (Routledge 2002) and of Interpreting: International Journal of Research and Practice in Interpreting.(John Benjamins).
