This is the story of how an international competition for giant tuna began and since has prospered. Farrington himself has written wonderful books on fishing and the outdoor life, as well as titles on hockey, ducks, railroads, and the Merchant Marine. Most incredible of all, for 35 years, he was an editor at Field and Stream Magazine. He also, amazingly, caught the first 1,100 pound fish ever taken. At the time of publication, he was the only man who had taken 3 different species weighing over 800 pounds.
