This copy is inscribed and signed on the front endpaper from the architect Herbert Beckhard to Vivien Woofter, Vivien Woofter was the senior interior designer at the US Department of State. She worked with Beckhard on the Hubert Humphrey building (headquarters of the Department of Health and Human Services).
