The Ferrari Legend: The Road Cars - Hardcover

Inhaltsangabe

This epigram, usually applied to horse racing, could have equally been devised for Enzo Ferrari and the men of Maranello whose cars bear the badge of the prancing horse. With 23 World Championship titles behind them, the sleek and powerful Italian cars have established a record second to none. Ferrari Sports, GT and pure racing cars have forged an incomparable reputation over the years, and it is largely the expertise born of this experience which has made their road going equivalents so prestigious and desirable. From the Tipo 125 Sport of 1946 to the 308, Ferrari have made more high performance cars - over 500 variants - than any other marque. Some are legendary, such as the 250 GT, the Daytona or the Berlinetta Boxer, but many older models are often forgotten, some now almost totally unknown. In this lavishly illustrated and superbly produced book (as only befits one about such a superb marque), Atoine Prunet examines each of the road cars in detail. Containing 450 pages and over 500 illustrations - many in full colour - The Ferrari Legend pays due tribute to the designers and engineers of Maranello as well as to the coachbuilders who have made them so visually dramatic and appealing.
