This book is a hands-on guide to data analysis using SPSS for Windows, one of the most widely used statistical packages available for the PC. The guide was designed to be used with Version 8.0 of SPSS and beyond, although many of the procedures are also applicable to earlier versions of SPSS. Instructions are provided for using the World Wide Web to obtain the data sets to be analyzed. With this guide, students learn how to conduct reasonably sophisticated statistical analyses using SPSS, which are gaining insight into the nature and purpose of statistical investigation.
