Larry D. Florman, M.D., was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended undergraduate school at The Youngstown University in Ohio and medical school at the University of Louvain in Belgium. He completed a rotating internship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Montreal; general surgery residency at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City; and a residency in otolaryngology at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital in New York City.  This was followed by a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He is board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Following 28 years of private practice and teaching as a clinical instructor, in 2002, Dr. Florman ended his private practice in the traditional sense and assumed the title of Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine, where he has been training young surgeons to be plastic surgeons and otolaryngologists. He now limits his private practice to aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose.
