He was educated at Winches! ter and Oxford where he read English and graduated with a First. For twelve years he worked as a copywriter for the advertising agency Ogilvy and Mather, where writers Salman Rusdie and Fay Weldon also started their careers. He now works for Abbott Mead Vickers and divides his time between his family home in Oxfordshire and his flat in London. He is married with three children.
