<b>Edward Kanze</b>, writer, photographer, and naturalist, is also the author of <i>Notes from New Zealand, Wild Life: The Remarkable Lives of Ordinary Animals</i>, and a forthcoming book about his travels in Australia. He writes a weekly column for the Hersam Acorn Newspapers and is a member of the John Burroughs Association, based at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
