About the Author:

Bridget Hodder began her career in archaeology, translating ancient documents in order to tell the stories of civilizations from the distant past. Then she realized she had her own stories to tell. She now writes full time in a small seaside town in New England. THE RAT PRINCE is her debut novel.

Review:

"It takes a certain genius to take a story as familiar as Cinderella and make it into something alive and emotionally-charged. The Rat Prince succeeds wonderfully because it brings new levels of substance to the classic fairy story." --Andrew Brumbach, author of THE EYE OF MIDNIGHT

"If I were to tell you that I had just finished one of the most delightful books I have ever read in my ENTIRE life, would you believe me?"-- Jennifer Maschari, author of THE REMARKABLE JOURNEY OF CHARLIE PRICE

"THE RAT PRINCE: an adorable fairy-TAIL... This is a rollicking story, great fun, swoony and hilarious and twisty-turny, too!" -- Heidi Heilig, author of THE GIRL FROM EVERYWHERE

"THE RAT PRINCE, told in alternating voices of Prince Char (The Rat Prince) and Cinderella, gives the familiar fairy tale a surprising and delightful twist. Bridget Hodder has re-imagined this timeless story in a way that is not only engaging, but raises thoughtful questions about loyalty, integrity, and beauty. "--Victoria Coe, author of FENWAY AND HATTIE
