Excerpt from Fourth Biennial Report of the Board of Control of the Michigan School for the Blind, 1888<br/><br/>During the period covered by this report the old barn on the grounds has been utilized as an ice-house and root-cellar. Water has been conducted to the fields on the west and south of the grounds. The work of keeping up and improving the beautiful grounds of the school has been steadily pushed forward. The system of electric lighting employed in the buildings of the institution continues to give entire satisfaction. We desire to call attention to the valuable report of Acting Superintendent Race, which is hereto appended.
