Excerpt from Noise Assessment of the Chicago Transit Authority Rail Rapid Transit System<br/><br/>Physical differences among the transit systems, as well as differences in the technical orientations of the teams and in funds available to the teams for measurement and ysis, led to some differences in report organization, technical depth, and writing style. Therefore, to provide at least introductory consistency among the reports for the reader, the front material, including the introduction of each assessment report, has been edited at tsc. The organization and technical content of each report, however, are basically as originally written by the respective teams and are, together with the accuracy of the measurements, the responsibility of the authors: Marshall L. Silver, Robert C. Bachus, and Roland Priemer. Dr. Leonard Kurzweil of the Transportation Systems Center directed the final technical editing of the report.
