Much attention has been bestowed upon the Vocabulary. It is not only very comprehensive, but is made up partly after the plan of Prof. W. D. Whitney's german-english Dictionary, in which attention is called to the relation between German and English words, by means of full-faced type. At this stage of the series, it was deemed unwise to point out ogies between German words and those English words which are of other than Germanic origin.
