Those of us concerned with broadcasting courses in col leges and universities, because of the nature of our jobs, are seldom able to devote all of our time and energy to radio. Hence, our knowledge of the medium, the variety of programs that it utilizes, the many major and minor crises that prematurely age the director, and the harsh disciplines that radio imposes on its workers lacks the intimacy and reality of the knowledge of one to whom these matters make the difference between holding and losing a job.
