A second contribution, by Kiess and Lang,2 presents an analysis of the spectra Zr III and Zr IV. In this paper the extreme ultra-violet portion of the spectrum as observed With a vacuum spectrograph is described, and the classification of the lines, as characteristic of the doubly and trebly ionized Zr atoms, is shown to be in strict accord with recent theories of spectral structure.
