IN compliance with and under the authority of the provisions of Section 9 of Article V of the Constitution, of The Civil Service Law, and of the Greater New York Charter, the Municipal Civil Service Commission of the City of New York hereby prescribes the following rules for the regulation of the classified service of such city, to take effect and to have the force and effect of law, revoking all other rules to that end, when approved by the Mayor and the State Civil service Commission.
