Application of number students have to interpret information, carry out calculations and interpret the results of that information. This book provides students with guidelines on "what you need to know" (with examples) "what you must do", and where they might find examples of this in their existing work. Through examples and assignments, the Key Skills Builder approach enables the student to understand what is required by the key skills qualification and enables them to improve, and demonstrate their skills. A great deal of attention is paid to building a Portfolio, which is the area which students generally find to be the most difficult.

Biografía del autor

John Gillespie teaches at the University of Nottingham and worked for QCA developing the Key Skills unit for Application of Number. Diane Parker, Dave Faulkner and Sue Broadhouse are all involved with teaching and assessment of Key Skills.
