This volume presents a selection of topics (partly based on lectures given at the Royal College of Surgeons of England), reflecting important areas in modern surgical practice, and which should challenge most surgeons at some stage during their careers. Emphasis is placed on each contributor's own personal experience and evaluation. The book contains a mini-symposium on "keeping strictures open". It should provide instruction for the trainee while updating the knowledge of those already qualified.
