As with the earlier volumes in this series, this book presents a selection of issues (partly based on lectures given at the Royal College of Surgeons of England) reflecting important areas in modern surgical practice, and which will challenge most surgeons at some stage during their careers. Throughout the book emphasis is placed on each contributor's own personal experience and evaluation, and thus the appraoch is quite different from that of the conventional textbook.
