Paul Connolly is Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Ulster. His primary research interests are the study of 'race', ethnicity and young children. He has published a number of articles in this area and is author of Racism, Gender Identities and Young Children.

Barry Troyna was, until his death, Professor of Education at the University of Warwick. He has written and researched extensively in the field of 'race' and education. His most recent books include: Antiracism, Culture and Social Justice in Education, with Morwenna Griffiths, Researching Education Policy, with David Halpin, Racism and Education: Research Perspectives and Racism in Children's Lives, with Richard Hatcher.
