Elevated, equally with the ear, above the other senses, by virtue of its mental and psychological fulfil ments, the eye certainly offers more calculated to arrest the attention and excite the admiration of inquirers generally, whilst the readiness with which much of its organization may be seen, even in active, living opera tion, renders the whole subject more comprehensible to those who are unaccustomed to the consideration of.
