Nous avons beaucoup à gagner, en notre pays de Vendée, reporter nos souvenirs vers les temps où nos ancêtres donnèrent a la France l'exemple d'un véritable héroïsme religieux. C'est pour ce motif que je me plais à provoquer et à encourager les travaux qui ont pour but de faire ressortir la foi vaillante de la vieille Vendée, dont les enfants ont sacrifié leur vie, en si grand nombre, pour la religion.
