As a rule the busy man, beset with the strenuous life of our day, skips the introduction and plunges at once into what the author has written, and Wisely, too, for often the foreword blunts the appetite for further reading instead of giving mental zest for the feast in store for the careful reader. If brevity be a virtue then that much will be in favor of this effort.
