Excerpt from Acts and Resolutions Passed at the Regular Session of the Eleventh General Assembly of the State of Iowa

Under Sec. 1, Chap.134, of the Acts of the Tenth General Assembly, a bond was issued to the Permanent School Fund of the State, dated Nov. 12, 1864, drawing interest from Jan. 1, 1864, payable semi-annually on the first day of January and July, the principal payable at the pleasure of the Legislature.
